In Häusern eines Unternehmers, der vermutlich mit der faschistischen Partei Chryssi Avgi in Zusammenhang gebracht werden kann, wurden von der Polizei zwei Waffenlager sichergestellt. Der Unternehmer ist wegen anderer Verbrechen, die ihm zur Last gelegt werden, auf der Flucht.  In der vergangenen Nacht hat die Polizei in zwei Häusern eines Unternehmers im Großraum Athen ein mittleres Waffenlager sichergestellt. Darunter 60 Nahkampfmesser unterschiedlicher Typen und 20 Schusswaffen. Sieben davon waren als Jagdwaffen angemeldet, können jedoch nicht in dieser Kategorie zugeordnet werden. Ob für die anderen 13 Schusswaffen eine Genehmigung vorliegen könnte, muss noch überprüft werden. Der Unternehmer ist bereits seit mehreren Monaten flüchtig. Sein Name wurde in der Vergangenheit mit anderen Verbrechen in Zusammenhang gebracht. Für 2013 wird mit einem neuerlichen Rückgang des BIP um rund vier Prozent gerechnet. Für 2014 erwartet die griechische Regierung erstmals wieder ein leichtes Wachstum von rund 0,6 Prozent.

UMD in a statement rejected the Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras assessment that Greece, not Macedonia, is the constructive side in the name dispute. - Although UMD considers that Macedonia should not negotiate about the name dispute, Macedonia is still more constructive in the negotiations than Greece at the United Nations. Two Greek citizens were detained Wednesday evening after police patrol noticed they were filming the Macedonian parliament. Both were in a peugeot with Greek license plates and filmed the Parliament while their vehicle was moving. Police detained both individuals in downtown. Chargers are pendind as it is forbidden to film Government and military installations of any kind. The charges will depend on the video material captured on their camera.

Luuk van Middelaar, Advisor to the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy for the dispute between Macedonia and Greece said that because of bad experience with Cyprus, the Union wants to resolve bilateral disputes before admitting the both countries or at least one country in the EU. According Middelaar, the use of the veto on the admission of new members in bilateral disputes is unfair and the EU could put pressure on the member states, as in the case of Slovenia. - Union is not good at solving bilateral relations concerning boundary, name, the old world of sovereign states.
