Greek President: Athens' Veto for Macedonia Is Cast and Cannot Be Negotiated

Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos once again harshly attacked Macedonia, saying that the country "cynically falsifies history".

During his visit to the northern Greek city of Naoussa,, Pavlopoulos said that the Greek veto regarding Macedonia's accession to NATO and the European Union has been cast, and it cannot be negotiated.

"The cynical forgers of history, who unfortunately are followers of the culture of the totalitarian regimes which was proved with the recent brutal conduct toward the refugees, cannot pretend they are friends with Greece, and more so, it is incomprehensible how they are fooling themselves that with such attitude they can join EU and NATO. The Greek veto has been cast and cannot be negotiated," Pavlopoulos stated.
