Confidence-Building Measures: Macedonia and Greece Hold New Round of Talks
The latest round of talks on confidence-building measures between Greece and Macedonia was held in Athens on October 30, between Greece's political director Petros Mavroidis, the Macedonian State Secretary Ambassador Elena Kuzmanovska, the Greek foreign ministry informs.
The negotiations were held on the basis of the agreement reached in Skopje, on 24 June 2015, by the two countries’ Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
The talks were held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. The discussions touched upon, inter alia, political consultations between the two Ministries, bilateral dialogue on EU Affairs, cooperation on IPA II, Taiex and
Twinning programmes, University cooperation, Connectivity, as well as border management, migration, combating corruption, and organized crime issues. It was decided that the next round of talks on Confidence Building Measures will be held in Skopje by the end of the year. It was also agreed to hold the first round of political consultations between the two Ministries in Skopje.
