GRUEVSKI: GREECE HAS TWO POSITIONS ON THE NAME, ONE OFFICIAL AND ONE UNOFFICIAL

Greece has two positions on the name, one official and one unofficial. The official is that wants to resolve the dispute, but that has certain terms that they know will not be able to pass in the country and therefore the conditions were made not to be accepted.

.
The unofficial is that now they are not able to resolve the issue, or they have too many internal political and financial problems to enter in such a variant of resolving this issue and that this period should not be required this from them, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said in an interview with the weekly "Republika".

But, he adds, they do not say that do not want to resolve or they can not solve or are against resolve or something.

- No, the rhetoric is we want to resolve, but if the government accepted these conditions, for which they know that no government in Macedonia will accept. Their informal position or that what the EU member states and all others involved in the problem as facilitators, is actually that now they are not able to resolve this issue. On the other side they are not even willing to give a chance Macedonia to move forward in European integration, - Gruevski.

According to him, they have delayed the resolution of the dispute, as he said, conscious for lucrative purposes, as for internal challenges and it is irrelevant, at least in the short or medium term, but the bigger problem is that act like a child of EU that if the EU do not give aid starts to break at home and in that way to put in question the future of the family and home.

-We are tired of those games imposed on mutual accusations, to deal with lies like that I have met with Fidel Castro, as circulated in some centers a few years ago, and the same day I was in a meeting with Philip Reeker in Skopje, for example, and similar mutual accusations that do not lead anywhere, and at least to solution. We are ready for a solution, we have clearly expressed principles and positions, and believe in their accuracy, and our support are our people and our country. We want the country to move forward and will make efforts to find a solution, but in the context of what was said previously, focus on the other countries of the international community to avoid the status quo to become a danger to the region, - the Prime Minister.

Regarding the issue that the Ukrainian crisis makes any changes compared to the behavior of great powers on this question, he replied that so far there have been no suggestions for some changes because, as he says, they see the problem with different eyes than we do.

- Those eyes are following, they consider that Greece is in too big financial problems and on these problems depends the fate of the euro, which is directly linked to their economic and monetary destiny. And above all they put the issue of resolving the euro crisis and reforms in Greece. Their assessment is that they have a lot of pressure on Greece to move towards reform and become self-sustaining and that even that pressure can not be realized to the end because if they realize that, and with no pressure to the name, that can lead to decline of the Greek government. And to come another government that would be more risky in terms of economic reforms and retention of the euro. That means that even the pressure for reforms in Greece is balanced and not fully implemented so as not to disrupt the political relations in the country and to come, as they sometimes tend to say, to come to power anarchists, as they call the party SYRIZA, with who it is unpredictable what will happen to the euro, a return to the drachma and the like, even though they had moved, in the meantime came to closure of their positions, - Gruevski. In such a situation, he added, some of them know to say, when we did press for what's most important to us, do not expect that we will push for yours, because that can lead to deterioration in the country.

- In other words, it is the main reason why Greece now has no serious pressure to solve this problem. And it is purely in the interests of the EU countries. So they start from their interest, which is normal. And their number one concern is to preserve the euro, Greece to solve economic problems, to become self-sustainable, to return debts and the euro to be stable. A stable euro means stability of the monetary union, Europe and the EU. That's number one. Once that is resolved, later can solve other issues, the Prime Minister emphasized in the interview. Regarding the request for neighborliness with Sofia, as a note to start the negotiations, he says that Macedonia wants to have excellent relations with Bulgaria and to continue in a strong spirit of mutual cooperation and respect.

- President of Bulgaria Mr. Plevneliev said that Macedonia is not ready to sign with text same as the declaration which expired in 2009. It was signed in 1999 with duration of 10 years. Ivanov answered that Macedonia is ready and and that it will be signed. And it after the elections in Bulgaria. I expect that after the elections in Bulgaria, the agreement that agreed Presidents Plevneliev and Ivanov, and it is signing of the contract with the same text of the Declaration, to be realized. I encourage the dialogue and positive trends that began through gestures between Pleneliev and Ivanov, Gruevski said and added that Bulgaria has no reason to doubt in the friendship with Macedonia.

- I am convinced in that, and time will confirm, Gruevski said. In terms of what emerged as declaration of the Berlin Summit, the part that concerns the opposition, that must be able and must want to be part of the institutions, said the declaration has clearly written a single sentence on the subject, and it is he expectation that the opposition should make its actions and activities in Parliament.

He believes that the Macedonian opposition in this regard has unrealistic expectations, that with absence from the parliament, first that will cause sympathy among the citizens or support of the international community. According to him, there will be no among the citizens because they know the situation in Macedonia and are aware that the motives for which the opposition got out are unrealistic, not based on true statements from them. - Their statements were unrealistic, false election results, no fair and democratic elections.

In fact, anyone who follows the good political situation in Macedonia knows that leaving the Parliament was alibi of President of SDSM, to keep the office in the party. He did that and now he is looking for a way or there is not a way to return to the Parliament because there is an intermediate stage from that his goal to the return to the Parliament.
