Demarche over Anti-Macedonian Chants handed to Greek Ambassador Lalakos

Greece’s Ambassador to Macedonia Theocharis Lalakos was summoned on Monday to Macedonia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was issued a demarche over the Greek soldiers’ anti-Macedonian chants and hate speech. The Ministry said it calls on the Greek authorities to immediately take measures condemning such events and tendencies, which, as the institution explained, are not in the spirit of the European values and standards. Also, the Ministry urged Greece to prevent such acts from not happening in the future. At the meeting, a demarche was also issued over the practice of putting stickers on the Macedonian vehicles in relation to the use of the “MK” code on the licence plates.
