Greece has began with its six-month EU Presidency. On the Greek Presidency official website, in the part for journalistic accreditation, in the graph for nationality instead of Macedonian, the only option that Macedonian journalists had was FYROM, informs MTV reporter from Athens.

European top officials attended Wednesday in Athens the official taking over the EU Presidency by our Southern neighbor. Presidents of the European Parliament and the European Commission and the European Commissioners are part of the present at the ceremony in the Greek capital.

“Every Europe’s attitude based on the idea that some are better than others is exactly an anti-European idea. We are for Europe based on non-discrimination. Europe in which we believe that all state are equal”, stated the President of the European Commission at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Samaras.

The ceremony was held in the absence of representatives of the biggest opposition party SYRIZA, due to their disagreement with Samaras priorities within the six-month Presidency.

Although Greece at the same time was trying to present itself as a driving force for integration in the EU region, the enlargement now is not even among their priorities, and the reason for that, according to experts on the situations, are the open issues that the country has with its neighbors – Macedonia and Turkey.

Schulden haben insg. 2,1 Mio Stromkunden in Griechenland. Wenn man das umlegt auf die Gesamtsumme, wären das rein rechnerisch 1.190 Euro Schulden pro Stromkunde, aber bei 1,8 von 2,5 Milliarden Schulden durch gewerbliche Kunden dürften die Privatkunden natürlich deutlich kleinere Summen offen haben. Griechenland: Sozialkassen schaffen parallele Staatsverschuldung

FMW-Redatkion Die Sozialkassen in Griechenland schaffen derzeit eine Art parallele Staatsverschuldung. Da die annehmen, dass ihre Löcher aus den jetzt fließenden 86 Milliarden Euro vom 3. Hilfspaket nicht gestopft werden, haben sie angefangen in Eigenregie Kredite aufzunehmen. Da sie Rentenfonds, Krankenkassen etc staatliche Einrichtungen sind, erhöht sich damit per Saldo die Staatsschuldenlast Griechenlands noch weiter, auch wenn der Staat Griechenland kaum darum bemüht sein dürfte diese Extra-Schulden in seine eigenen Schulden einzurechnen. Aber Schulden sind Schulden. Wie die angesehene griechische Zeitung „Ekathimerini“ berichtet, hat das „Social Insurance Institute“ im August ein kurzfristiges Darlehen (wird wohl eine Dauerumschuldung) über 110 Mio Euro aufgenommen. 70 Mio davon gab man an seinen öffentlichen Versicherungsfonds weiter, 40 Mio davon an seinen kommunalen Versicherungsfonds. The movie, entitled The People’s Revolution Upon the Ministers' Wives, has been produced by Sirina (Siren) Productions and can be included in the genre of “politicised or austerity porn”. “2012.
