Greek tried illegally to enter Macedonia with one and half million euro

Custom Unit informed that yesterday the special customs units in collaboration with the officials at Bogorodica cross border point seized 124 cheques worth 1,443,565 euro.

Cheques were detected when entering Republic of Macedonia was registered car with Greek license plates, driven by a Greek citizen A.K. traveling with another person, also Greek citizen, H.Z.

On customs officers’ question whether they have anything to declare, the suspect AK replied that he has 500 euro, but after the executed control, in the purse of Greek citizens were found 124 cheques worth 1,443,565 euro.

Once the cheques were discovered, AK stated that he owns factory in Greece and Macedonia is traveling for business in order to make contacts for procurement for the factory.

But due to the fact that cheques were not properly registered nor was submitted the necessary documentation, cheques were seized and deposited in the vault of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia.

FMW-Redatkion Die Sozialkassen in Griechenland schaffen derzeit eine Art parallele Staatsverschuldung. Da die annehmen, dass ihre Löcher aus den jetzt fließenden 86 Milliarden Euro vom 3. Hilfspaket nicht gestopft werden, haben sie angefangen in Eigenregie Kredite aufzunehmen. Da sie Rentenfonds, Krankenkassen etc staatliche Einrichtungen sind, erhöht sich damit per Saldo die Staatsschuldenlast Griechenlands noch weiter, auch wenn der Staat Griechenland kaum darum bemüht sein dürfte diese Extra-Schulden in seine eigenen Schulden einzurechnen. Aber Schulden sind Schulden. Wie die angesehene griechische Zeitung „Ekathimerini“ berichtet, hat das „Social Insurance Institute“ im August ein kurzfristiges Darlehen (wird wohl eine Dauerumschuldung) über 110 Mio Euro aufgenommen. 70 Mio davon gab man an seinen öffentlichen Versicherungsfonds weiter, 40 Mio davon an seinen kommunalen Versicherungsfonds.
