Unemployment in Greece could reach 29% in 2013


Unemployment in Greece is most likely to reach 29% by year's end i.e. there could be 1.45 million jobless people, according to a research prepared by the General Confederation of Greek Workers (GSEE) - the country's largest private sector union.

Statistics showed that unemployment rate in the last quarter of 2012 rose to 26%, MIA reports from Athens.

GSEE's research also showed that the average gross income in Greece had fallen by 29 percent since 2009, while the average price of goods and services had risen by 17 percent compared to 2007 levels. b
