UMD: EU is feeling the fatigue of destructive nationalist politics from Cyprus and Greece

The Cypriot EU Presidency Agenda was released on Monday, listing EU Enlargement in the Western Balkans as a top priority, but deliberately failing to mention Macedonia as one of the candidates for EU membership, United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) said in a press release.

As Cyprus takes over the day-to-day tasks associated with the EU Presidency, they also announced their full intention to seek a large bailout package from the Eurozone, to save the ailing Cypriot economy. This self-serving move, combined with an obviously anti-enlargement stance in Southeast Europe, is sure to challenge any countries that were hoping for a functional, progressive and fair European agenda over the next six months.

Macedonia has been an EU candidate since 2005. The country has received recommendations to start negotiations from the EU Commission and EU Parliament for the last three years in a row, however the Cypriot Presidency decided to ignore the country completely.

"The whole EU is feeling the fatigue of destructive nationalist politics from Cyprus and Greece.  It's time for these two countries to leave their 19th-century mentalities behind, and deal with the real issues facing Europe in 2012," said United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) President Metodija A. Koloski.  "This includes fair treatment for Macedonia."

UMD Chairman Stojan Nikolov added: "By ignoring the candidacy of the Macedonian people, Cyprus and Greece are conspiring to create an artificial instability in the region. So, not only do they have no shame about sabotaging European policy on Macedonia, they are both eager to extort enormous handouts from the hardworking European taxpayers in countries like Germany. With friends like these, who needs enemies?"

Schulden haben insg. 2,1 Mio Stromkunden in Griechenland. Wenn man das umlegt auf die Gesamtsumme, wären das rein rechnerisch 1.190 Euro Schulden pro Stromkunde, aber bei 1,8 von 2,5 Milliarden Schulden durch gewerbliche Kunden dürften die Privatkunden natürlich deutlich kleinere Summen offen haben. Walter Burkert has estimated that this original Heracles was renowned as far back as 20,000 years ago. The Greek Heracles ended up receiving honors for the accomplishments of his predecessor, having the title of "Heracles", furthermore by the Bronze Age of Greece in which the Greek Heracles was said to have lived the taming of the wilderness had already been accomplished. Griechenland: Sozialkassen schaffen parallele Staatsverschuldung

FMW-Redatkion Die Sozialkassen in Griechenland schaffen derzeit eine Art parallele Staatsverschuldung. Da die annehmen, dass ihre Löcher aus den jetzt fließenden 86 Milliarden Euro vom 3. Hilfspaket nicht gestopft werden, haben sie angefangen in Eigenregie Kredite aufzunehmen. Da sie Rentenfonds, Krankenkassen etc staatliche Einrichtungen sind, erhöht sich damit per Saldo die Staatsschuldenlast Griechenlands noch weiter, auch wenn der Staat Griechenland kaum darum bemüht sein dürfte diese Extra-Schulden in seine eigenen Schulden einzurechnen. Aber Schulden sind Schulden. Wie die angesehene griechische Zeitung „Ekathimerini“ berichtet, hat das „Social Insurance Institute“ im August ein kurzfristiges Darlehen (wird wohl eine Dauerumschuldung) über 110 Mio Euro aufgenommen. 70 Mio davon gab man an seinen öffentlichen Versicherungsfonds weiter, 40 Mio davon an seinen kommunalen Versicherungsfonds. The movie, entitled The People’s Revolution Upon the Ministers' Wives, has been produced by Sirina (Siren) Productions and can be included in the genre of “politicised or austerity porn”. “2012. The dominant emotion of impoverished Greece is disappointment.
