Die Eurogruppe der Finanzminister will erst am 24. Mai entscheiden, ob Griechenland die Bedingungen für weitere Hilfskredite erfüllt hat. Der Internationale Währungsfonds will neue Schuldenerleichterungen der Europäer erzwingen. Im griechischen Schuldendrama sieht Eurogruppen-Chef Jeroen Dijsselbloem Gesprächsbedarf für Schuldenerleichterungen. Es werde eine erste Diskussion geben, ob, wann und wie solche Maßnahmen greifen könnten, sagte er beim Sondertreffen der Euro-Finanzminister gestern in Brüssel. Eine Entscheidung könne aber erst am 24. Mai fallen. Bei den Verhandlungen über eine nächste Zahlung an Athen im Rahmen des im vergangenen Sommer beschlossenen Hilfspakets in Höhe von bis zu 86 Milliarden Euro war zuletzt der hohe Schuldenstand Griechenlands in den Fokus gerückt. Für 2016 wird ein Schuldenberg von 183 Prozent der Wirtschaftsleistung erwartet, erlaubt sind höchstens 60 Prozent. Im Schuldenstreit mit Griechenland pocht Eurogruppen-Chef Jeroen Dijsselbloem auf Reformen der Athener Regierung. Fortschritte bei den für das Land notwendigen Massnahmen seien Voraussetzung für weitere Finanzhilfen, sagte der Niederländer am Dienstag in einem Interview des Fernsehsenders RTL Nieuws. "Der Druck auf Griechenland wächst." Dem Land drohe das Geld auszugehen, warnte der Vorsitzende der Euro-Finanzminister erneut. Der Geldvorrat schmelze mit jedem Tag weiter zusammen. In einem Interview mit dem Radiosender BNR bekräftigte Dijsselbloem zugleich, er rechne nicht mit einem Ausstieg Griechenlands aus der europäischen Währungsgemeinschaft.
