Milososki – Ban Ki-moon: Macedonia ready to resume dialogue with Athens

The Republic of Macedonia is ready to resume Macedonian - Greek dispute on surpassing the differences over the name and gives full support to the process led under UN mediation, FM Antonio Milososki said at late Thursday's meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in New York.

Milososki presented international and legal dimension of Macedonia-Greece political lawsuit before the Hague-based International Court of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.

The talks also were focused on Macedonia's application for UN Human Rights Council membership for 2013-2016, whereat Milososki presented rich data on respect of minority and human rights, which Macedonia had achieved in the past 20 years.

Milososki and Ban Ki-moon also exchanged views on ongoing debate over the UN Security Council reforms. Macedonia urges reforms to be carried out in direction to bigger transparency of the work of Security Council as well as more efficient mechanisms for increased participation of smaller countries in UN process.
