Greek FM Venizelos Condemns Golden Dawn Actions against Macedonia

Greek FM Evangelos Venizelos, speaking in the capacity of PASOK leader before the political council of the party, assessed the actions of Golden Dawn as harmful to Greece’s foreign policy, particularly in terms of ‘Skopje’ and Albania. This is the first public condemnation of the violent actions taken by Golden Dawn party representatives, but as yet no activity has been carried out to prevent incidents in the future. They are responsible for removаl of registration plates, breaking windshields, physical assaulting Macedonian and Albanian citizens, while the Greek police have failed to arrest a single perpetrator. Ilias Panagiotaros of the extreme right Golden Dawn, who addresses Macedonian citizens as Gypsi-Skopians, in a statement for the Proto Thema weekly, justifies the actions of his fellow members in entirety.
