Skandal - Europäische Kommission genehmigt 93,7 Mio. Euro für griechischen Flughafen

...immer weiter fließen europäische Steuergelder Richtung Griechenland. Nun hat die Europäische Kommission für die (notwendige) Modernisierung des Flughafens "Mikra" in Thessaloniki 93,7 Millionen € genehmigt. Diese Investition wird durch das Programm "Improving Accessibility" ermöglicht. 

Der zweit größte Flughafen Griechenlands in Thessaloniki wurde 1993 von Mikra in  "Macedonia Airport" umbenannt. Die griechische Propaganda spricht gern von Provokation seitens der Republik Makedonien als der Flughafen in Skopje "Alexander The Great Airport" getauft wurde, jedoch ist dieser Flughafen ein Zeugnis dafür, dass auch von griechischer Seite mit Umbenennungen öffentlicher Einrichtungen als Provokationen angesehen werden kann. 1991 erlangte die Republik Makedonien die Unabhängigkeit, die Umbenennung des Flughafens in Saloniki erfolgte zwei Jahre später.

An dieser Stelle möchten wir Ihnen in Erinnerung rufen, wie frühere EU-Gelder für Griechenland endeten:



   
The European Commission has approved an investment of around € 93.7 million from the Cohesion Fund to upgrade the second biggest Greek airport, the Makedonia state airport in Thessaloniki. 

The project involves the modernisation and expansion of a take-off and landing runway along with its parallel runway. It will be expanded by 1000 metres towards the sea and will reach a length of 3440 m.. After the project΄s completion, the airport will be able to accommodate most types of aircraft. Passenger and cargo traffic will therefore increase and transatlantic flights as well as long-haul flights can be carried out without stop-overs. 

Commenting on the decision, Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn said “The modernisation of the Thessaloniki airport will have a positive impact on the economic development of the region of Macedonia. By enabling more passenger and cargo traffic, this investment will improve the quality of life for many Greek citizens. It will also make the region even more attractive for tourism and businesses." 

The project is expected to be completed within 2014 and become operational within 2015. The project directly creates 181 jobs during the construction period and is expected to create 88 jobs after its implementation. 

The investment comes through a programme called "Improving Accessibility". The European Union, through the Cohesion Fund will finance € 93.7 million out of a total investment of € 173.4 million. Today΄s decision approves the contribution for the second phase of the project over the years 2007 - 2013, while the total cost of the project over the two programming periods amounts to € 230.5 million.

Griechenland: 2,5 MRD Euro Stromschulden – Versorger schaltet bald erste 50.000 Kunden ab!

In Griechenland wird der staatliche Stromversorger in Kürze damit beginnen in einem ersten Schritt 50.000 Stromkunden den Saft abzudrehen. Die Außenstände belaufen sich insg. auf 2,5 Milliarden Euro. Betroffen werden vor allem Firmenkunden sein. Eine Katastrophe für die (vorhandene?) Konjunkturerholung. Es gibt einen handfesten Grund, warum die Höhe der Stromrechnungen in den letzten Jahren explodierte… Griechenlands staatlicher Stromversorger PPC hat Außenstände bei Stromkunden von insg. 2,5 Milliarden Euro, 1,8 Milliarden davon bei gewerblichen Kunden. Schulden haben insg. 2,1 Mio Stromkunden in Griechenland. Wenn man das umlegt auf die Gesamtsumme, wären das rein rechnerisch 1.190 Euro Schulden pro Stromkunde, aber bei 1,8 von 2,5 Milliarden Schulden durch gewerbliche Kunden dürften die Privatkunden natürlich deutlich kleinere Summen offen haben. Griechenland: Sozialkassen schaffen parallele Staatsverschuldung

FMW-Redatkion Die Sozialkassen in Griechenland schaffen derzeit eine Art parallele Staatsverschuldung. Da die annehmen, dass ihre Löcher aus den jetzt fließenden 86 Milliarden Euro vom 3. Hilfspaket nicht gestopft werden, haben sie angefangen in Eigenregie Kredite aufzunehmen. Da sie Rentenfonds, Krankenkassen etc staatliche Einrichtungen sind, erhöht sich damit per Saldo die Staatsschuldenlast Griechenlands noch weiter, auch wenn der Staat Griechenland kaum darum bemüht sein dürfte diese Extra-Schulden in seine eigenen Schulden einzurechnen. Aber Schulden sind Schulden. Wie die angesehene griechische Zeitung „Ekathimerini“ berichtet, hat das „Social Insurance Institute“ im August ein kurzfristiges Darlehen (wird wohl eine Dauerumschuldung) über 110 Mio Euro aufgenommen. 70 Mio davon gab man an seinen öffentlichen Versicherungsfonds weiter, 40 Mio davon an seinen kommunalen Versicherungsfonds. The movie, entitled The People’s Revolution Upon the Ministers' Wives, has been produced by Sirina (Siren) Productions and can be included in the genre of “politicised or austerity porn”. “2012. The dominant emotion of impoverished Greece is disappointment.
