Eurobarometer: Macedonians third most frequent tourists to Greece

22% of the Macedonian populace spent their vacations in Greece,  thus making them the third most frequent visitors to the south Balkan nation after Cypriots (48%) and the Serbs with 25%.
This is the latest data from Eurobarometer tied to tourism in EU member states and candidate member states.

According to this statistic, 47% of the Macedonians who went on vacation outside their borders did so in some of the 27 EU member states, 44% spent their vacations at home, and 9% spent their time vacations outside Europe.

22% of those 47% who spent their vacations within the EU went to Greece, only 1% to Croatia, 3% spent their vacations in Spain, 3% to France, 3% to Austria, 4% to Italy and 5% to Germany. Interesting to note is that no Macedonians are visiting the UK on vacation.

The latest poll shows that 13% of the Macedonians vacationing have said they will spend their time in Greece, 5% in Spain, 4% in Germany, however it must be noted the poll was done in February when not everyone has made their plans on where they would be heading on vacation.
