Athens Bookstore Targeted in Bomb Attack

Greek police informed that a central Athens bookstore selling survivalist literature has been targeted in a bomb attack, causing damage but no injuries, Fox News reports.

The blast occurred late Wednesday following warning telephone calls to a newspaper and news website, with the device exploding a few minutes earlier than the time given by the anonymous caller.

The explosion damaged the store as well nearby parked cars and apartment block windows. It happened near a police station in a neighborhood where militant anarchist groups are active.

Bomb and arson attacks are relatively common in Greece, mostly targeting banks and politicians' offices, and rarely causing injury.
