Die Arbeitslosigkeit in Griechenland ist trotz erster Anzeichen einer wirtschaftlichen Besserung weiter gestiegen. Im Juni waren in dem Krisenstaat mehr als 1,4 Millionen Menschen arbeitslos - bei 3,6 Millionen Menschen mit Arbeit, wie die nationale Statistikbehörde am Donnerstag mitteilte. Die Arbeitslosenquote stieg damit auf 27,9 Prozent - das waren 0,3 Prozentpunkte mehr als im Mai. Aktuellere Zahlen als Juni gibt es nicht. Binnen eines Jahres verloren laut Statistik 174'000 Griechen ihren Arbeitsplatz. Im Vergleich zum Mai waren es im Juni 20'000 mehr. Betroffen sind vor allem junge Leute und Frauen. Including football in Greece's political war against Macedonia, the Greek Government issued a scandalous act which bans any player with Macedonian passport from playing in Greece, reports TV Sitel. This is a scandal not seen since the Nazi Germany ban on Jewish players from participating in sporting events. It will surely get a swift reaction not just from the Macedonian sporting federations, but from UEFA and FIFA. As TV Sitel reports, the Greek Football Federation received a memo from the Government that it can no longer register players with Macedonian passports.
