Greek MEP votes for Macedonia resolution
Nikos Chrysogelos from Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance is the only Greek Member of European Parliament (MEP) who voted in favor of opening Macedonia's EU accession negotiations, MIA reports from Athens.
The European Parliament adopted Thursday the Resolution over Macedonia's progress in 2012.
The resolution, drafted by Macedonia Rapporteur Richard Howitt, was supported by 505 MEPs, 61 voted against, with 31 abstentions.
The resolution clearly urges the European Council to launch the accession negotiations with Macedonia in June. ik/11:52
