Poposki to visit Brussels - scheduled to meet Greek counterpart Dimas
Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki pays March 22-25 a working visit to Brussels. Upon an invitation of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, Poposki will attend a meeting of foreign ministers of EU member and candidate countries, on the sidelines of a session of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
During the visit, Poposki will meet his Greek counterpart Stavros Dimas, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
Poposki is also scheduled to meet Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis, the Foreign Minister of Cyprus - next holder of the EU Presidency. Furthermore, Poposki will held talks with Serbian counterpart Vuk Jeremic and Robert Cooper - Counsellor in the European External Action Service (EEAS) and facilitator of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
On Thursday, Poposki will attend a ceremony honoring Macedonia's accession to the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, as well as have a meeting with Kristalina Georgieva - European Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response.
In addition, Poposki will attend the Brussels Forum - an annual high-level meeting of the most influential North American and European political, corporate, and intellectual leaders to address pressing challenges currently facing both sides of the Atlantic, the press release reads.
